Our Process
We have over 500 colors of Granite & Quartz available for your kitchen countertops. You are welcome to come in and choose the color that best suits you. Please bring a rough sketch of the countertop with the measurements & any small objects like a cabinet door/drawer, paint chips, flooring, tiles, or any other essential features of your room to help with your selection or a nice picture of your cabinet, floor and wall color which will help you to select the granite. Our sales staff will guide you in picking the most suitable granite for your job & granite countertops’ cost.
Once an order has been placed, a template will be scheduled for a Templet person to visit the site and take exact measurements / hard template for fabrication.
We recommend for exotic slabs or slabs with veins and movements to come and lay the templet on the slab so you can ensure how each countertop will look in your kitchen before cutting.
The template made by the templet person is then passed off to the production team to be laid out on the slab(s) for fabrication. The granite will be precisely cut to the specifications of the template, from a simple cut to a more complex Waterfall design cut.
Once all cutting is complete, the countertops will move through production, receiving sink cut-outs, metal rods for support, and edge detailing and polishing. Once fabrication is complete, the countertops will be measured again to account for accuracy before being moved to a crew for installation.
Drop-in and vessel sinks, cooktops, outlets, and faucet/cord holes are all drilled on-site at installation time.
Install time can vary significantly depending on the size and dynamics of the job. On average, vanity and bar tops can be completed in as little as 1 hour, with a standard kitchen install lasting 3-4 hours. If there is a tear-out, on-site cut-outs, or a more complex layout, installs can last longer than 4 hours. Seams are filled with an adhesive bonding agent and left to set, and they are color-matched to the stone to minimize their appearance. Dishwasher brackets will be used to secure them to cabinetry/stone. Under-mount sinks are secured using an epoxy and clamping method.
Finally, the granite will be cleaned and sealed. Purchase sealer before the installer leaves the site. After finishing, the installer will do a walk-through and answer any questions you may have. Approving the installation paperwork confirms that you are satisfied with the work.
